Holy Island, Northumberland

13 Nov

After a run at parkrun this morning (sub 30 again – hooray) I drove up to Northumberland and took Rhiw for a lovely long walk on Holy Island. It was a perfectly clear autumn day with golden light – you can’t top Autumn days like that!

Holidays

9 Nov

I’m off work on annual leave at the moment. Today the car went in for a service so I caught the train to Newcastle. Lunch was Pumpkin Soup from Scrumpy Willow, which was ok. Then it was home, dinner and off out to spend the evening with the rest of DD&H. Good fun!

Klm Food

3 Nov

I travelled back from Toronto on Klm to Amsterdam, and this is what I got for my vegan meal – super good hey?
Rice, tofu, veggies and baby carrots, with a nice side salad and a roll and fruit for dessert. Well done Klm!

Wednesday running

3 Nov
It was WRN this evening and for a change V invited us to join her at the Tees Barrage for a trot along the river. It’s where I used to work but I had never run there and it was brilliant: off road, quiet, good surface to run on, fairly flat, and plenty to look at – definitely somewhere to return to for a longer run.
